Dear Clients and Friends
Following on from the retirement news in the May, issue of the Morton Ware Accounting Newsletter, we Alan & Brian, have now moved into retirement, and thus a decreased presence in the office. It was after a great deal of thought and discussion with our staff that we committed to this decision and came to a financial arrangement with a colleague, Terry Le, in whom we have a great deal of confidence and respect.
Terry is the new principal in the practice. He attended Brisbane State High School, QUT University before working in a couple of mid tier accounting firms, then purchasing and successfully operating a smaller suburban accounting practice at Waterford West. Terry is a CPA and is integrating his existing practice into the Morton Ware practice, which will continue to operate with existing staff from the 68 Bryants Road premises.
We will continue to work in the practice for a period to ensure a smooth transition of the work from us to Terry. Mark, Jane, Jasbir and Maria are continuing in their previous roles and will be joined by the Waterford West staff and a further appointment of two accounting professionals. We are confident that the high standard of service we have been privileged to supply to you our clients, will continue.
We look forward to being able to introduce Terry to as many of you as possible over the next couple of months. Terry has exceptional skills in taxation matters, in strategic business advice and is passionate about future planning and business coaching, together with providing health checks for your business.
We wish to thank you for your loyalty to our firm in the past and as we will both be available as consultants to the firm for some time to come, we will no doubt still meet in the office. We also thank you for the many messages of support we have received as we move into retirement. Both of us are looking forward to more time with grandchildren and some travel.
We wish you, your family and your business all the very best for the future.
With kindest regards Brian Hooker and Alan Morton
